First year defender Marcus Adams is expected to miss at least two weeks of football after suffering a mid-foot injury during Saturday’s win over Sydney.

Speaking to westernbulldogs.com.au on Tuesday afternoon, General Manager Football Graham Lowe said the injury occurred late in the Dogs' four-point victory over the Swans.

“Marcus got a mid-foot sprain during the game, quite late in the game, so we’re going to have to manage him conservatively,” Lowe said.

“He’ll be in a boot for 10 days to two weeks, and once he comes out of the boot we’ll assess him with a view to providing a return to play after that.”

Youngster Bailey Williams will also spend time on the sidelines, after incurring a minor knee strain at training last week.

“Bailey’s got a medial knee ligament strain,” Lowe said.

“It’s not a major one, but he’ll be out of play for three to four weeks, so we just need to get that one settled down and prepare him and get him ready to play as quickly as we can.”

But it wasn't all bad news coming out of the Kennel, Lowe reporting that both Koby Stevens and Roarke Smith got through Saturday’s VFL game unscathed and livewire Luke Dahlhaus has reached a major milestone in his return from a medial ligament injury.

“[It's] a key milestone for Dahl in terms of returning to running this week, so that's really pleasing for him.

“He needs to continue to build his load and preparation so we’ll monitor him over the coming weeks.”

Finally, returning skipper Easton Wood and match-winner Jason Johannsien both got through their return games against Sydney without any issues, Lowe saying it was a testament to the work of the Club’s medical and conditioning staff to enable them to return and make an immediate impact.

"There’s been a signficiant group of players injured, and there’s been a lot of work done by the rehab, conditioning and medical staff.

"They’ve done a great job bringing the players back and presenting them ready to perform they way the did on the weekend."
