Western Bulldogs running back Jason Johannison says he remains unfazed by the extra physical attention he’s received in recent weeks from opposition players.
The 24-year-old has been on the receiving end of some heavy checking from opposition players on and off the ball, but told media on Wednesday that it comes with the territory.
“We play a physical sport, so it’s nothing that we haven’t seen or done before,” he said.
“It’s just a bit of niggle and stuff like that. It’s footy, really.
“It doesn’t really faze me. I know it’s coming. I just try and focus on my job at hand and try and help the team get the win.”
Johannisen has averaged 23 disposals per game over the past fortnight, including 22 touches at 91% efficiency and a game-high six running bounces the Suns.
