If you had any doubts about Dale Morris' credentials as the toughest man in footy, the story he told on Triple M yesterday will settle it once and for all.

Having broken his arm in an awkward fall out of a marking contest against Gold Coast in Cairns, Morris had club doctor Gary Zimmerman put the broken bone back into place on the spot.

“My arm was bending where it’s not meant to bend, and 'Zimmer' put it back in place in the change rooms as I was taking my boots off," he revealed.

"I had my arm up on the bench, I was taking my boots off and he said ‘I just want to try and manipulate this in a little bit’."

All of this without painkillers.

“He just grabbed it and pulled it, you could feel like a suction and a pop sort of a feeling.

“Before I knew it, I was feeling around and I said ‘are you done?’ and he goes ‘yeah, I’m finished’."

But there was one more challenge for the 34-year-old before the day was over; he had to go to Cairns Hospital in full club kit.

“On top of that, (I) had to go to the Cairns Hospital...in my full Bulldogs kit because I couldn’t get changed, while the game's on the TV," he laughed.

“So people were looking at the TV and looking at me. I said ‘I’m just a big fan’.”
