With the 2017 AFLW Draft just over a month away, how are the Bulldogs placed as they prepare for the upcoming AFLW season?
In a three-way deal with Collingwood and GWS Giants back in May, the Dogs secured the number one pick in a trade that included midfielder Jaimee Lambert, further stocking the Club’s October war chest.
Coach Paul Groves and his recruiting team now have three picks in the top 11, including two in the top 5, giving the Dogs ample opportunity to bring some additional top end talent to the kennel.
Players not currently on AFLW lists will be required to nominate for a single state’s draft pool, and can only be drafted by clubs based in that state. Nominations opened on 4 September and will remain open until 29 September, 2017.
The AFLW 2017 draft will be held on Wednesday 18 October 2017.
