Veteran Western Bulldogs defender Dale Morris says that he expects take a clean bill of health into the upcoming JLT Community Series.
The Dogs do battle with Melbourne at Victoria University Whitten Oval next weekend and Morris said he has fully recovered from the back injury that hampered him late last season.
“The back is 100%, he told Fox Sports this week.
“I haven’t missed a beat with the pre-season. We’ve got a great medical and fitness staff at the Club and they’ve really looked after us old boys.”
Another ‘old boy’ looking the goods according to Morris is captain Bob Murphy.
“He looks really good out there in the back half, he looks like he hasn’t lost a step which is great for him and his confidence”
Going into his 13th season with the Club Morris shows no signs of slowing down, averaging a career-high 13 disposals per game last season while conceding just 27 goals in 19 games.
Assigned to players tall, medium and small, Morris ranked in the above average category for intercept possessions, intercept marks, contested possessions and pressure acts according to Champion Data.
