Western Bulldogs speedster Jason Johannisen and Essendon forward Joe Daniher couldn’t be separated as the best player on the ground on Sunday afternoon according to the coaches.

Both Johannisen and Daniher were awarded nine out of a maximum ten votes each, with Marcus Bontempelli the next highest vote getter with six, while Shane Biggs and Jordan Roughead rounded out the Dogs’ vote getters.

Johannisen’s finished with four goals and 18 disposals (at 89% efficiency), and looked back to his blistering best as the Dogs powered to a season-saving 30 point win over the Bombers.

Every round, the AFL coaches vote for the best players from their game. The coaches vote for five players, giving them a mark from 1-5. The maximum a player can score is 10 (with five votes from both coaches).
