The Western Bulldogs Community Foundation’s Sons of the West men’s health program has received further recognition, with a finalist nomination in the upcoming 2018 VicHealth Awards.
Nominated for the Sons of the West: Improving Mental Fitness sessions, the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation program received a finalist place for its contribution to improving mental wellbeing across the state.
Western Bulldogs Community Foundation General Manager, Kashif Bouns said that the Foundation are extremely grateful to have received recognition from VicHealth.
“The VicHealth Awards are the state’s highest accolade for health promotion, recognising some of the best health promotion efforts across Victoria,” Bouns told westernbulldogs.com.au
“Given the strong Victoria University research outcomes relating to improvements in SOTW participants’ mental well-being and connection to community, and encouragement from a number of stakeholders, we decided to nominate the Sons of the West program in 2018.”
“It is extremely exciting to be shortlisted for this award and it’s a great testament to all the great work that our Health and Wellbeing team does through the benefits of our research partnership with Victoria University.”
