Ben Hudson was about to turn 29 when he made his way to VU Whitten Oval at the end of the 2007 season.
After four years, an ACL injury, and 55 games at the Crows, Hudson found a fresh start at the Bulldogs.
The Dogs traded selections 30 (later used by the Crows on Jarrhan Jacky) and 38 (Myke Cook) to Adelaide to lure the ruckman back to Victoria.

Elected to the Bulldogs’ leadership group for the 2009 season, Hudson played a key role in taking the Bulldogs to three consecutive preliminary finals between 2008-2010.
Over 88 games in four seasons at the Club, he established himself as one of the most competitive big men in the AFL, being effective in both the ruck and around the ground.
Hudson announced his retirement at the end of the 2011 season, so he could return to family in Queensland.
His career was revived when he came out of retirement to play for the Brisbane Lions, playing 18 games in 2012, before he transferred to Collingwood, where he ended his AFL career at the end of 2014.
