From Footscray to Dubvronick, listeners have been tuning in from all corners of the globe to listen to the Western Bulldogs new* podcast Freedom in a Cage hosted by former skipper Bob Murphy and Adrian Brown, award-winning filmmaker and producer of Channel Seven’s ‘The Front Bar’.
As Murphy says here, the boys take looking at the lighter side of the game very seriously.
Ever wanted to hear Luke Beveridge pitch for a spot in the first 18 of the Greek Team of the Century, or Tom Liberatore talk about why he’d target Wayne Carey if he played in the 90s?
What about listening to the great footy bard Martin Flanagan gush about Tim English’s potential, CEO Ameet Bains and GM of List and Recruiting Sam Power attempt to explain to Adi why list management is more than just high end footy card trading, or get the inside story on Bob’s decision to wear number 37 in support of Adam Goodes.
But football is as much about the players on the field as the fans in the stands, and the boys talk with lifelong supporters Merv Hughes and Australian basketball legend Chris Anstey, among others.
And on Thursday, young Dogs star Toby McLean joins the show to reel off a couple of his favourite Dale Morris stories.
This is a podcast for the fans and you can get involved if you like, by sending your questions on Facebook & Twitter to us by using the hashtag #FreedomInACage or e-mail us here.
If nothing else, you can find out once and for all if Marcus Bontempelli can juggle.
But don't take our word for it…

This week's #FreedomInACage episode felt like sunshine on my heart. Geez I know that sounds strange but that's the best way to describe it.
