Four changes have been confirmed by the Western Bulldogs for Sunday afternoon’s clash with Collingwood at Marvel Stadium.

Josh Schache, Ed Richards, Taylor Duryea and Roarke Smith are in, after impressing at VFL level last week.

Smith is making his first AFL appearance in 2019, while Duryea returns to the AFL side for the first time since sustaining a hip injury in round four against Collingwood.

Schache is also back for his first AFL game since round four, and Richards has earned his spot back after a fortnight in the VFL.

Gun midfielder Tom Liberatore will miss due to a knee injury, while Toby McLean, Bailey Dale and Ryan Gardner have been omitted.

McLean has been named as emergency, alongside Lewis Young, Rhylee West and Lachie Young.

The match will mark captain Easton Wood’s 150th at AFL level.

Wood was selected with pick 43 in the 2007 NAB AFL Draft and has achieved plenty as a Bulldog, including captaining the 2016 premiership side, and winning both the Charles Sutton Medal and All Australian honours in 2015.

This weekend’s match will see Collingwood and Western Bulldogs play for the Robert Rose Cup, with the player judged best afield to receive the Rose-Sutton Medal.

Round 4, 2019 – Collingwood got the points, claiming a 14-point win against a determined Western Bulldogs outfit. The Bulldogs led by five points at three quarter time, but the Pies proved too strong at the end. Marcus Bontempelli (36 disposals), Jack Macrae (33) and Caleb Daniel (30) were the leading ball-winners on the ground, with Sam Lloyd slotting four goals. Brodie Grundy had a big impact for the Pies with 22 disposals and 58 hit-outs, with Tom Phillips (29) and Taylor Adams (28) also key players.
