The Western Bulldogs AFLW team will draw on the experience of last season to bounce back from Friday night’s loss to North Melbourne.
The Bulldogs have made an identical start to the 2019 season as they did in their premiership year, winning their first two games before being defeated in Round 3.
“Clearly, we’d rather be three-zip, but at 2-1, we were in the same situation last year in Round 3 when we got beaten by Adelaide,” coach Paul Groves said after the match.

“So, we reflect on that and what we did. We’ve got a really mature group. We’ll go to work on a few things.
“We’ve got a number of our girls who are performing really well at VFL level in some practice matches, who will put their hands up.”
The Bulldogs were overwhelmed by a second quarter burst by the Kangaroos, which set up a 31-point win for the competition newcomers.
“They’re a very good side. They’re really balanced across the park. Their foot skills were amazing,” Groves said.
“It probably was a six or seven-minute period in that second quarter that they got on top. It was the avalanche of goals that we couldn’t stop. They put our defenders under pressure with good entries.
"For our girls, we just keep working at it. We’re bitterly disappointed, but we’re certainly not shattered.”
The Bulldogs return to VU Whitten Oval next Saturday night, where they’ll face the Brisbane Lions in Round 4.
