Western Bulldogs v Collingwood

Saturday, 12 March, 2016 1.10pm AEDT at Etihad Stadium

Collingwood have named an experienced side to face the Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon, the 27-man squad headlined by former Giant Adam Treloar’s first game in Magpie colours.

The Pies prevailed over North Melbourne in a hard fought contest in Wagga Wagga last weekend, taking their pre-season record to 2-0 following their eight-point victory over Geelong at Skilled Stadium on February 26.

Collingwood have a strong mix of youth and experience and the Magpie Army will be expecting an improvement on last year’s 12th place finish.

Players to Watch

Taylor Adams

Adams was named best on ground in Collingwood’s second NAB Challenge clash after an impressive 26 disposal, 2 goal performance in the Pies gutsy 8 point win over the Roos.  The former Giant is a contested ball beast and the Dogs will need to get their hands on the ball first to curtail Adams’ influence.

Darcy Moore

Bulldogs fans won’t have fond memories of the 20-year old Moore, the second year key position prospect bagging five goals against the Dogs in the round 17 clash at Etihad Stadium.  The athletic Moore’s contested marking ability is already a feature of his game and his ability to go into the middle makes him a tough cover for the Bulldog talls.
