Lock it in – the Western Bulldogs will host a round one blockbuster in 2020.
The Bulldogs will take centre stage when they host Collingwood under the Friday night lights at Marvel Stadium on March 20, at 7.50pm.
It is the Bulldogs’ first home Friday night game since round 15, 2018, when they pipped Geelong by two points.
Remarkably, it is the Bulldogs’ first round one home game against a Victorian opponent since 2010 – which was also against Collingwood.
The Bulldogs met the Magpies twice in 2019, with the Magpies narrowly getting the points on both occasions – including in the Bulldogs’ lone Friday night fixture for the season, in round four.
Season openers have largely been a happy hunting ground for the Bulldogs in recent times, having won four of their past five.
