Midfielder Tom Liberatore has been ruled out of this Sunday’s clash with the GWS Giants in Sydney.
Liberatore missed the Bulldogs’ big win against Essendon due to knee soreness, and will continue to be monitored over the coming weeks.
Bulldogs’ Medical Services Manager Chris Bell said Liberatore’s history with knee injuries means he will be managed conservatively.
“Tom obviously has a history of significant knee injury, and associated with this is some wear and tear in his knee,” Bell said.
“We are working through a process with Tom to work out how to best manage his knee, and how this will impact the rest of his season.

Caleb Daniel will need the Bulldogs to push deep into the season to be a chance of returning in 2019, with the rebounding defender set to miss 6-8 weeks.
In positive news, tall utility Ryan Gardner has continued to progress well following an injury to the posterior cruciate ligament injury in his knee.
“Ryan is back into some high-speed running and agility, and is starting to integrate back into some football drills,” Bell said.
“If he continues to come along as we hope, he will be looking to make a return early in the VFL or AFL finals campaign.”
