Sunday’s 71-point victory was the equal-sixth highest winning margin over St Kilda in VFL/AFL history.  

The Bulldogs have now won four of the last five clashes with the Saints, with an average winning margin of 68 points. 

The match also marked the 50^th time that the Bulldogs have scored over 100 points against St Kilda, and the Club’s second consecutive score of over 120 points against the red, white and black. 

Is Bont, Is Good 

Marcus Bontempelli made an instant impact on return from injury, with his best-on-ground performance receiving a perfect 10 Coaches’ votes from Luke Beveridge and Ross Lyon. 

Sunday’s match saw the skipper record a combined stat line of 30+ disposals and two goals for the 20th time in his career, having polled Brownlow votes in all but two of these matches. 

Bounce That Pill 

First-year midfielder Josh Dolan recorded his first career bounce on Easter Sunday, leaving fellow 2025 draftees Sam Davidson and Cooper Hynes as the only currently listed Bulldogs yet to bounce the Sherrin at AFL level. 

Defender Rory Lobb is still yet to record a bounce in the red, white and blue, with his singular, career bounce occurring back in round 16, 2026 as a Giant. 

Truckin’ On

Sunday's match against St Kilda saw Bailey Williams run out in #34 for the 157^th time, the 10^th most appearances by any VFL/AFL player wearing that number.

Fellow South-Australian defender Ben Hart tops the list with 311 appearances for Adelaide in the 34^th digit.
