Footscray’s Cooper Craig-Peters has been recognised in the 2024 Smithy’s VFL Team of the Year squad.

One of 40 players in contention to be selected in the final team, Craig-Peters, a Yorta Yorta, Wadi Wadi Ngurai Illum Wurrung, Dja Dja Wurrung and Yara Yara man, is the sole Bulldogs’ representative.

From 18 matches, the 22-year-old contributed eight goals and an average 22.3 disposals, 7.3 clearances and 5.6 tackles.

Players must have played a minimum of nine matches to be considered.

Minor premier Werribee had the most representatives in the 2024 Smithy’s VFL Team of the Year squad, with six players.

The final team of 24, plus a coach and captain, will be revealed at the 2024 VFL and VFLW Awards on Monday 16 September.
