Captain Marcus Bontempelli is making a play for the AFL Champion Player of the Year Award, closing in on the top three after polling a perfect 10 against Collingwood.
Bontempelli was judged best afield in the eyes of the coaches, following a 38-disposal, nine-tackle, 10-clearance and two-goal performance.
It catapults the 28-year-old into fourth spot overall, just 18 votes behind current leader and Swan Isaac Heeney.
Fellow star midfielder Adam Treloar earned four votes for his 37 disposals, 11 clearances and one goal, while rebounding defender Bailey Dale (35 disposals, eight marks) polled three votes.
Youngster Sam Darcy was also recognised with his first votes of the season, polling three votes after a three-goal and seven-mark display.
