Midfielder Adam Cooney will again be missing from the Western Bulldogs line-up this weekend through knee soreness, but Coach Brendan McCartney has dismissed suggestions to rest the Brownlow medallist for the remainder of the season.

“Adam won’t play this week as his knee is sore and we’re managing that…we’ve still [got] seven weeks to go and the last thing on our mind is looking at next year.

“We’ve got seven weeks to go where we want to play better footy than we’ve played and we want all of our list to keep progressing and learning how we want them to play and keep working on their individual games and Adam is a part of that,” he said.
