Whitten Oval today played host to a very special surprise by Member Devin Collins to his now fiancée, Margaret Briggs when he popped the question at the conclusion of today’s training session.

In on the surprise was Captain, Matthew Boyd who handballed a ‘stray’ ball containing the magical words ‘Margaret, will you marry me?’ surrounded by Bulldog autographs over the fence to Devin who then got on bended knee and asked Margaret to marry him.

Collins, from Canada, developed a love of AFL and the Bulldogs when he was introduced to the game by his fiancé three years ago, Margaret, who lives and breathes the Doggies has been a Bulldogs member for over two decades
