It was a fitting time to reach the heights of the Western Bulldogs’ 26,000th member, with the latest milestone reached during the Club’s glittering 2011 Season Launch held at Crown Palladium on Wednesday evening.  The evening brought members and fans together with players, coaches and administration staff to celebrate the coming season.

Caring dad Rod Manson, himself a long-time member, chose the stirring evening to sign up his currently hospitalised son as a member. It was a loving gesture that would be rewarded, with his son’s new membership ticking the tally over to 26,000.

Club President David Smorgon OAM welcomed Mr Manson on stage in front of the 930-strong crowd to present him with a special number 26 guernsey, worn by exciting new young gun Zephaniah Skinner, as well as a $250 voucher to spend at Bulldogs Central.

The latest membership figures keep the Club on track to reach its goal of 30,000 members by Round One, part of the bigger goal of 38,000 red, white and blue members by season’s end.

We are now just 3,883 away but we need your help to reach the Challenge.
We need former members to renew today, we need our fans to become members, we need our members to get new members, ask your friends, ask your family, tell them to become part of the challenge and take your club to new heights.
