Western Bulldogs duo Dom Carbone and Jorja Borg have been named in the 2023 rebel VFLW Team of the Year, as announced at Monday night’s league awards.
Carbone and Borg were two of 30 players named in the squad - having done enough to earn representation in the final team of 21.
It caps off incredible VFLW campaigns for the pair, who were also crowned joint VFLW Bulldogs’ Best and Fairest winners last month as the Club’s most consistent performers in their debut seasons in the red, white and blue.
Carbone was named on the half-forward flank, following an average of 19 disposals and six tackles while contributing seven goals in 13 matches.
Borg was listed as the starting ruck, after averaging 31 hit-outs, 10 disposals and three tackles from her 14 matches.
Collingwood’s Jessica Bates was named captain, while Port Melbourne’s Sean Buncle was named coach.
