The Western Bulldogs could have their third debutant of the 2016 season, with Bailey Williams named on an extended bench  ahead of Sunday’s clash with Melbourne on Sunday afternoon.

Williams joins Lin Jong, Mitch Honeychurch and Josh Dunkley as possible replacements for the injured Marcus Adams, all of whom have impressed at VFL level in recent weeks.

Luke Beveridge has again gone with multiple talls with the ruck combination of Jordan Roughead and Tom Campbell set to take on in-form Melbourne ruckman Max Gawn, and Jack Redpath named at full-forward after kicking three goals in his season debut last week.

Assistant coach Daniel Giansircusa said he’s been pleased with how the Bulldogs’ tall timber has been performing and he expects they’ll be keen to give the Dogs first use of the ball come Sunday.

[It’s] a big challenge for our two guys, he said.

He [Gawn] pretty much does it on his own, although Cam Pederson comes in and gives him a chop out every now and then.

“But hopefully our tag team of Campbell and Roughead can get the upper hand on him and get the ball moving forward for us.”

The Bulldogs will play at the MCG for the first time this year after opening the season with seven straight games at Etihad Stadium.
