Bulldogs Jorja Borg and Dom Carbone are in contention for selection in the 2023 rebel VFLW Team of the Year, named in the squad of 30 players this afternoon.
The duo – who were crowned joint VFLW Bulldogs’ Best and Fairest winners last month – were deemed the Club’s most consistent performers in their debut seasons in the red, white and blue.
Carbone averaged 19 disposals and six tackles while contributing seven goals in 13 matches – missing just the one occasion when she was called up for U23 Allies representation.
Borg was a dominant ruck presence, averaging 31 hit-outs, 10 disposals and three tackles from her 14 matches.
The final team of 21 players will be named on Monday, September 18 at the 2023 VFL and VFLW Awards.
