The Western Bulldogs have been named as a finalist in the prestigious Federation University Commerce Ballarat Business Excellence Awards.
The Club has been nominated in the John Holland Social Change Maker Award category, with the winner to be announced at the Gala Awards night on Thursday August 31.
The Ballarat Business Excellence Awards showcase, celebrate and support local businesses in all that they have achieved and contribute to the Ballarat region.
The Bulldogs have made a strong impact in the Ballarat community over the last eight years, not only for bringing AFL and AFLW games to Mars Stadium, but for the work the team does off the field.
The Club facilitates a vast array of community programs in Ballarat, including its Bulldogs Read schools program, football skills participation programs in schools, and a strong presence in Auskick Roadshows and Community events.
The Western Bulldogs Community Foundation has also brought some of its impactful programs to the Ballarat region, including Sons of the West, Daughters of the West, the Youth Leadership Project and the Nallei Jerring Koori Leadership Project.
