Western Bulldogs captain Marcus Bontempelli is closing in on the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year top three, following another 10-vote performance at the weekend.
Bontempelli was superb in the 41-point victory over Essendon, finishing with 29 disposals, 11 marks, four clearances, eight inside 50s and two goals.
It brings his season tally to 76 votes – moving him into fourth spot and just one vote behind third-placed Zak Butters.
Midfield bull Tom Liberatore was deemed next-best, earning eight votes for 36 disposals, four tackles, 12 clearances and eight score involvements.
Bailey Smith (three votes), Adam Treloar (two votes), Caleb Daniel (one vote) and Jamarra Ugle-Hagan (one vote) nearly completed a Bulldogs’ clean sweep.
