Jason Johannisen is a chance to return for the trip up to Ballarat against the Giants, listed as a test ahead of the Saturday clash.
The defender suffered a high-grade hamstring injury in the last Ballarat outing during Round 10 and will be given every chance to prove his fitness on Wednesday.
“Being a high-speed athlete, we have taken our time with him to make sure that the damage in his hamstring has fully recovered,” Head of Sports Medicine, Chris Bell said.
“Jason has progressed well over the last month and has built some great continuity in his training.
“If he ticks his final boxes this week - and pulls up well from our main training – JJ will return to availability.”
Harvey Gallagher’s run of bad luck has continued having been struck down by glandular fever over the past week.
“After returning to play two games following his fractured hand, Harvey Gallagher is unfortunately again on the sidelines,” Bell said.
“Last week, Harvey developed a sore throat with tests confirming that he is suffering from some glandular fever.
“We will de-load Harvey for the next few weeks to allow him to rest and recover.
“We are hopeful that it won’t be too long before Harvey is fully fit and firing.”
