Western Bulldogs captain Marcus Bontempelli has bounced back into the top five of the 2023 AFLCA Champion Player of the Year leaderboard.

Bontempelli earned a perfect 10 votes following his 31 disposals, eight tackles, six clearances and two goals against Sydney, jumping from 10th to fifth with 66 votes overall.

Ruck Tim English polled four votes after collecting a Club record 60 hit-outs to go with 10 clearances, 22 disposals and four marks, while Tom Liberatore received three votes for a 31-possession, seven-tackle, 11-clearance and one-goal performance.

Aaron Naughton (15 disposals, seven marks, three goals) claimed one vote.
