Footscray have recorded back-to-back wins after defeating Frankston by 19 points on Saturday afternoon.
A bolstering six-goal performance in the second term from the ‘Scray set the tone in the 12.9 (81) to 15.10 (100) victory.
Early into the contest Buku Khamis opened the account for the red, white and blue by dribbling the Sherrin through the sticks during intense forward-line play.
Upon the Dolphins’ response, Ewan Macpherson delivered with a driving shot on goal to hit the scoreboard for the Dogs.
Lachlan McNeil blitzed down the centre to find Mitch Hannan for the finish who cruised towards the open goal square marking his first major of many for the day.
In the second, Joel Garner capitalised the opportunity early on to kick off the scoring for the ‘Scray.
Despite a nest of opposition players, Hannan struck again winning the marking contest to nail the set shot and register his second goal.
The domination of the Dogs was underway as Charlie Clarke cashed in on the momentum by adding his piece to the board, promptly followed by Hannan.
Cody Raak and Robbie McComb were next onto the goal-scorer list as the Dogs totalled six unanswered goals.
Despite entering the third term with a 28-point lead for the Bulldogs, a few free kicks in Frankston’s favour minimised the margin.
The Bulldogs wrestled back possession as Hannan bolstered through the Dolphins’ defence to tread his fourth major through an open goal.
Next to join the multiple goal scorer list was Khamis who secured the shot on target to extend the margin.
