Finals are just around the corner, and for the eight teams still vying for the premiership it will be about the accumulation of small moments.

Those moments, momentum swinging goals, huge tackles, and roles on dangerous opponents, can come down to individual players.

So, who is the Bulldogs' key player for the finals?

Sarah Hartwig

In recent weeks Hartwig has played almost exclusively in attack, offering the Bulldogs a different look ahead of the ball.

Her speed toward goal is something her side hasn't had a lot of in the past and adds a point of difference to contested marking pair Gabby Newton and Celine Moody.

At ground level Hartwig has been important in providing forward pressure to contain the ball in the attacking half and generating repeated shots on goal, and in the arm wrestle that is finals, maintaining long periods of territory control can prove crucial.
