Western Bulldogs leader Kirsty Lamb is hopeful the playing group can extend their three-game winning streak against Hawthorn this weekend.

Lamb will notch up her 50th AFLW game in the clash – becoming just the second Bulldog to reach the milestone.

“I think as a kid, you always wish to play footy at the highest level but it obviously wasn’t around back when I was growing up, so it’s awesome to celebrate with my friends and family, and my footy club,” she told Andy Maher and Andrew Gaze on SEN 1116.

“Three from three is a pretty good start – we’ve never had that start as a club, so that’s a little milestone of its own.

“We’ve got the Hawks this weekend, which are a little bit banged up and have copped some injuries early on which is very unfortunate for them.

“Hopefully we can continue to get some wins on the board.”

Lamb said she’s been proud of the team’s efforts so far, which has included wins against GWS, Port Adelaide, and most recently, Fremantle.

“The girls are going really well – we’re still a pretty young group,” she said.

“There’s probably been glimpses in our game you’ve seen over the first few weeks where we want to play fast football where we can, and try to get it out of congestion and have high scoring where possible.

“We’re looking forward to the Hawks this weekend.”

The Dogs will look to make it four from four this Saturday afternoon at Box Hill City Oval.

They will wear Indigenous guernseys designed by former development coach and Noongar woman, Kirby Bentley, which represent connection, support and empowerment.
