Western Bulldogs midfield bull Tom Liberatore has polled six coaches’ votes in round 12 of the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year award.
Liberatore never gave up in the Dogs’ 13-point loss to Geelong on Friday night, registering 30 disposals, five marks, three clearances and two goals.
The 30-year-old is enjoying some career-best form, averaging 23.8 disposals, 6.1 clearances and three marks from his 11 games this season.
Bailey Smith was ranked the Bulldogs’ next best, earning three votes for his 19-disposal and five-inside 50 performance, while vice-captain Jack Macrae received two votes for his 31 disposals, eight tackles, and four clearances.
Smith remains in the top 10 after 12 rounds, with 43 votes overall.
