Plenty of forward options
Sunday afternoon provided the perfect opportunity to show the many avenues to goal the Bulldogs possess. The Dogs had ten individual goal scorers against Essendon, with Lachlan McNeil topping the charts with three majors. Midfielders Josh Dunkley and Bailey Smith also chimed in, while second gamer Robbie McComb nailed multiple goals.
Half back line continues to prosper
Rebound defensive continues to be a focus at the Bulldogs and Caleb Daniel, Bailey Dale and Ed Richards are reaping the rewards. Richards played one of his best games in red, white and blue, collecting 20 disposals and nine marks. Daniel was the leading possession getter on the ground for the Dogs, while Bailey Dale’s 2022 form hasn’t dropped off with 28 touches.
Youth found a way to impact
Some of the younger players had pivotal roles in the 32-point win against Essendon. Playing on a wing, Robbie McComb impressed, with Lachlan McNeil and Laith Vandermeer having an impact coming off injury. Cody Weightman has followed up his form to cause issues for the opposition defence, look continually dangerous inside forward 50.
