LAST MEETING

Round 6 2021

Western Bulldogs 2.3 (15) def. by Collingwood 7.9 (51)

Victoria Park wasn’t a happy hunting ground for the Bulldogs last season, falling to the Pies by 36 points. A seven-goal second half from the home team was enough to burst the game open, with Kirsty Lamb trying her heart out with 16 touches and seven tackles. Ash Guest was outstanding in defence, collecting 16 touches.

Indigenous Round

Round 8 of the AFLW will focus on celebrating culture and the role Indigenous people play in football. The Bulldogs will don a specially designed jumper for the occasion, created by artist Rubii Red in collaboration with the Community Foundation's Nallei Jerring program. Development coach Kirby Bentley has spent the week speaking to the players about what it means for her community, with the girls excited to run out on Sunday.

Bonnie Too-good

When you think about dominant forwards in the AFLW this season, you think Bonnie Toogood. Averaging 13 touches and a goal a game, Toogood has been influential in almost all Bulldog games during the year. Her contested marking game has gone to another level and could prove pivotal against the Collingwood backline this weekend.

Time to break three-year drought

It’s been more than three years since the Bulldogs found a way to beat Collingwood, in Round 5, 2018. After a disappointing defeat last season, the Bulldogs will be looking to keep their finals hopes alive with a long-awaited victory against the Magpie Army.
