A blockbuster opening awaits the Western Bulldogs in 2022, with seven of the first nine rounds scheduled in prime-time slots across the early weeks of next season.
The AFL released its 2022 fixture on Thursday afternoon, providing full details of the first nine rounds, with only opponents and venues released for rounds 10-23.
The Bulldogs venture interstate once in the first ten rounds, travelling to Ballarat twice and facing Port Adelaide in a Friday night clash at Adelaide Oval in Round 8.
As revealed last week, a grand final rematch will open the season against Melbourne on Wednesday March 16, before a pair of Thursday night home fixtures against Carlton and Sydney welcomes back our loyal fans to ignite Marvel Stadium.
A bumper Saturday night fixture in Round 4 against the Tigers follows, before the Good Friday rivalry with the Kangaroos resumes on April 15 (Round 5).
The Bulldogs are set for six interstate trips in total during the 2022 season, travelling to Adelaide, Perth, GIANTS Stadium, Sydney, Brisbane and Tasmania.
A trip to GMHBA Stadium against Geelong will also feature in Round 20, rounding out the campaign with a visit to University of Tasmania Stadium in Round 23.
The teams the Bulldogs play twice include Melbourne, Geelong, GWS, Sydney and Hawthorn.
All eyes will be on the Club’s second fixture in Ballarat against Gold Coast during Round 10 as the competition celebrates Sir Doug Nicholls Indigenous Round.
Players will take a break via the bye round scheduled for Round 13 over the weekend of June 11-12.
The Western Bulldogs have been fixtured 11 games at Marvel Stadium, as well as a further two at the MCG.
