The newest Western Bulldogs recruits have picked their numbers for the 2022 NAB AFLW season.
Find out who’ll be wearing what, and the reasoning behind their choices below.
11 – Elle Bennetts
“Having predominantly worn netball bibs, I had only previously worn the #22 in footy. #11 was half of that and the lowest number available!”
24 – Aurora Smith
“I just picked it because it was the lowest number – I wore number 2 at the Murray Bushrangers so I guess it’s kind of close!”
26 – Elizabeth Snell
“There isn’t much behind my choice – I just love having one of the lowest numbers as I can!”
29 – Amanda Ling
“I chose #29 because it was my number at Oakleigh Chargers, and I wanted to carry something on from that part of my journey.”
30 – Rocky Cranston
“#30 was the playing number I had at my first club – North Ballarat. I’ve been lucky enough to have it ever since.”
33 – Alice Edmonds
“Unfortunately there’s no reason behind my number, other than the fact 1-30 were taken and #33 sounded like the next best option. I used to be #11 so must have a thing for doubles, and my boyfriend said a good NBA player used to wear #33 too!”
