Bob Murphy today welcomed Barry Hall back to the Western Bulldogs in his new role as Bulldog Ambassador.
Murphy presented Hall with his new hoops jumper, featuring ‘Barry’s Back’ printed on the back, and also handed him his new Western Front Membership Card.
A self-proclaimed Bulldog through and through, Hall’s role will include being the face of BulldogsTV and ambassador for the Club’s Membership and Junior programs.
“It’s great to be back. It’s only been a few months I guess, but I am excited to be back here as an Ambassador for this great footy club,” Hall said today.
“I was a bit nervous coming in - it’s like the first day of school - but it’s great to be here and I want to thank the Club for the opportunity.
“It’s good to have the chance to pay the Club and all of our Members and Fans back for all they gave me late in my footy career.
“I am looking forward to my new role. Members and Fans will see me around a fair bit on BulldogsTV and at Social Club events”.
Hall who will also play a role in the Club’s Bulldogs Academy also said that being around the team again would be a highlight.
“I am really looking forward to still mingling with boys and being a part of the Club,” Hall said.
Murphy said that Hall had such a huge impact on the Club despite only being at the Kennel for a couple of years.
“Barry was not only loved by supporters - the players also absolutely loved having him around - so it’s nice to have one of our champions back,” Murphy said.
The Bulldogs will celebrate Hall in the Club’s season opener against the West Coast Eagles with a lap of honour at Etihad Stadium - giving our Members and Fans the opportunity to once again celebrate his contribution to the Dogs.
