Experienced coach Stewart Edge has led Footscray VFL for the last two years.

Part of the Bulldogs’ AFL and VFL coaching teams since 2014, Edge initially joined the Club as a development coach and was a key member of the Footscray coaching panel which secured the 2014 and 2016 premierships.

He moved into the head coaching role for the revamped 2021 VFL and East-Coast Second Tier competition, finishing the shortened season undefeated to be awarded the VFL Coach of the Year.

Prior to joining the Bulldogs, Edge spent four years with the GWS Giants in their inception years as a forwards and defensive coach.
