The Western Bulldogs have made it two wins from two games at Mars Stadium this season, comfortably defeating the Adelaide Crows by 49 points on Saturday afternoon.
With strong winds favouring the city end of the ground, the Bulldogs made the most of the advantage when kicking with the breeze, storming home 15.15 (105) to 8.8 (56).
Despite the visitors kicking two quick goals to open the match, it was Tom Liberatore who put the Bulldogs’ first on the board, with a quick snap of his own.
Adding five of the opening quarter’s last six goals, the Bulldogs’ 12-point lead quickly turned into a 35-point lead at the main break, with a four-goal to one second term in the Dogs’ favour.
The third term was more of an arm wrestle, with just a goal apiece keeping the margin at 35 points at three-quarter time.
But using the breeze to their advantage once again, it was all the Bulldogs in the last - adding five goals to close out the game.
Bailey Dale was a stand-out with 31 touches, 687 metres gained and five inside 50s, alongside Bailey Smith (29 disposals, seven tackles and five clearances) and Caleb Daniel (33 disposals, five clearances, one goal) who continued their fine form.
Josh Bruce wound back the clock with a sideways hanger in the goal-square, while Jamarra Ugle-Hagan impressed with two goals.
Josh Schache was strong in defence, finishing the day with eight marks and five intercepts, with usual ball-magnent Jack Macrae (31 touches, 12 clearances) again finding plenty of the footy.
The ladder-leading Bulldogs will next host Essendon at Marvel Stadium on Friday night.
