As the physical demands of playing AFL football rise, the importance of the post-match recovery session increases and the Western Bulldogs are fortunate to have access to a range world class facilities through their strong partnership with Victoria University.
In a recent interview, Western Bulldogs Strength and Rehab Coordinator Matt Hibbert indicated the Club’s ability to regularly access Victoria University’s aquatic facility as an integral part of the playing group’s weekly recovery sessions.
“With our partnership with VU we have access to the pool here, which is really good,” Hibbert said
“[Sessions usually entail] just a bit of walking in the water, just a light swim or a light deep water run and today got a couple of water polo balls out - just a bit of movement, just for something a bit different to keep the variety in the program.
Victoria University is a strategic partner of the Western Bulldogs Football Club, with the partnership between the two iconic brands of Melbourne’s west dating back to 2005.
