The VFL and rebel VFLW competitions will return to action this weekend.
An easing of restrictions by the Victorian Government will allow community sport to resume from Friday 18 June.
The Footscray Bulldogs will kickstart round 10 of the VFL competition on Friday afternoon. It will be their first match in almost a month – since defeating Frankston on May 21.
They will take on Geelong as part of a VFL-AFL double-header at GMHBA Stadium.
The VFL match will start at 4.10pm AEST – and be broadcast live on Kayo Freebies – before the AFL match at 7.50pm AEST.
Another two weeks of the VFLW competition have been confirmed before a four-week finals series begins.
The Western Bulldogs will play Collingwood at the Holden Centre on Saturday, at 12pm AEST.
They currently sit in sixth spot – with the top six teams going through to the finals.
Spectators are not allowed at VFL and VFLW matches in Melbourne this weekend, with the AFL to continue working with the Victorian Government and health officials on the return of crowds in the coming weeks.
The fixture for both the VFL and VFLW competitions will become a week-by-week proposition for the short-term with a fixture for the remainder of the VFL and VFLW seasons to be released shortly.
