The Western Bulldogs have had a day to forget at Deakin Uni, going down to Geelong by 85 points in their round nine VFLW clash on Saturday afternoon.
The hosts controlled the game early, forcing the Bulldogs to play catch-up after a four-goal to zero opening term.
Geelong added another five before the main break, with the Dogs taking a single point into half-time.
There was improvement in the third, keeping the Cats to just two goals while Caitlin Sargent put the Dogs’ first on the board.
But despite Nell Morris-Dalton adding one of her own late, another four-goal term to finish from Geelong ensured there was no chance of a Bulldogs comeback.
The VFLW Bulldogs will look to return to the winners’ list when they meet Carlton at VU Whitten Oval next Saturday afternoon.
