Easton Wood was the sole casualty from Saturday’s NAB Cup clash against Fremantle, enduring a hamstring injury during the fourth quarter.

Medical Services Manager Andrew McKenzie said the rebounding defender was unlucky to endure the setback in Mandurah during the NAB Cup round three hitout, after a solid pre-season campaign.

“It’s a low grade strain which has been confirmed over the weekend,” McKenzie said.

“He is going to go now [on to] our normal hamstring [rehabilitation] program and he will be up and going in the not too distant future.”

After being sidelined with foot soreness, Shaun Higgins will be monitored over the coming days, as McKenzie looks to increase his workload.

“We are going to look at Higgo going into training this week – we will build his program up and we will assess further at the end of the week,” he said.
