Ruckman Jordon Sweet will make his AFL debut for the Western Bulldogs on Saturday.
The 23-year-old will take on the Gold Coast Suns at Marvel Stadium.
He becomes the third Bulldog to debut at AFL level in 2021, following in the footsteps of fellow rookies Anthony Scott and Lachie McNeil.
Sweet is in his third season at the Kennel.
He joined the Bulldogs with pick 23 in the 2018 NAB AFL Rookie Draft, on the back of a premiership-winning season with North Adelaide in the SANFL.
Sweet was a strong performer at VFL level in his first year as a Bulldog in 2019, playing 17 games.
That included a string of four games where he collected a whopping 205 hit-outs, against Sandringham (51), Casey Demons (55), Richmond (39) and Port Melbourne (60).
He earned an opportunity in the Marsh Community Series against North Melbourne at the start of 2020, but had to continue to bide his time at scratch match level in the Gold Coast hub throughout the year as Tim English established himself in the ruck role.
Sweet has started 2021 strongly in the lead ruck role in VFL scratch matches and has also pushed forward to hit the scoreboard, including a three-goal haul against Essendon.
