Last time they met: Adelaide (1.11 17) def. by W.B. (2.6 18), Round 1, 2019 at Norwood Oval.
The Western Bulldogs kicked off their premiership defence with a nail-biting one-point win over the inaccurate Adelaide - who went on to win their next eight games and the premiership. The Crows were kept goalless after quarter-time, registering 10 behinds in the final three terms; a credit to the Bulldogs backline led by Hannah Scott (19 disposals, five marks). Best-on-ground Ellie Blackburn was influential with 17 disposals, six marks and six tackles, alongside key defender Lauren Spark (14, 11 marks) and on-baller Kirsty Lamb (11, eight tackles).
