Liam Jones is in the mix for selection in the Western Bulldogs side against the Brisbane Lions on Saturday night, along with a number of forwards vying for a position, including Jarrad Grant.
Senior Coach Brendan McCartney said up to four players were competing for a spot in the lineup, which will be decided in today’s main training session.

“[Jones’] in the mix. We have probably four options for that position and we will train this morning and fine tune it,” McCartney said.
“There’s one spot left and it’s up for grabs and he’s pretty close.”
Jarrad Grant is on the comeback trail from a foot injury sustained in the pre-season and has played two matches in the VFL over the past month.
While a number of VFL byes have restricted his game time, the 24-year-old’s long-awaited inclusion in the Bulldogs forward line looks near.
“It was three months really out of the game which was a long time,” he said.
“It hasn’t been a perfect lead in – he might be little bit of a game short but he’s pretty close too, he’s one of the boys in the mix.”
McCartney said Tom Williams will again line up in the Bulldogs attacking half after getting through the Fremantle clash unscathed.
“Tom’s right, he got through the game, got nullified by a really good opponent at times last week but he will play this week,” he said.
“We will have a pretty mobile forward line I think, with still a fair share of height in it.”
