Caleb Daniel’s quick-thinking goal on the run against Hawthorn in Round 17 has been voted the third-best Bulldog Goal of the Year, as voted by the fans.
With five minutes to play and five goals up already, Daniel proved the Bulldogs weren’t done yet, intercepting a Hawks’ cross-field kick just outside the 50m arc and running on to slot it through.
It was a well-deserved finish for Daniel, who also contributed with 28 disposals, 11 marks and seven inside-50s on the day.
The win proved to be great momentum for the Bulldogs heading into their Round 18 clash against Fremantle, which eventually clinched their place in the finals.
