This football year has been different. We all know that.
Despite the ever-present shadow of coronavirus, the 2020 season has rolled on, sometimes against great odds.
It started, stopped, and started again, then moved entirely out of Victoria.
While footy has continued in a way we’ve never seen before, the vast majority of Bulldogs fans haven’t seen a kick, mark or handball live at the stadiums they’ve become so accustomed to over the years.
But that hasn’t stopped them supporting the red, white and blue. They have backed their team like never before.
It’s been a different type of support, but it has meant just as much to the players, coaches and staff who’ve sacrificed a lot to keep the season alive, if not more.
Most of you have been far away, but your inspiration and encouragement has helped keep the victories mounting.
When the AFL season was shut down after Round 1, way back in March, we removed the ‘U’ from our official logo.
In a symbolic gesture, we said it wouldn’t come back until all of our fans would be able to watch from the stands. It simply wouldn’t be the same without ‘U’.
Now is the time to bring it back. Because it’s finals time. And that means we need a collective effort from everyone whose heart beats Bulldog to power us through the challenges ahead.
In 2020, there's history to be made. A premiership to be won.
To mount our charge, we need to do it together. All of us.
In 2020, we’re United for Finals.
