The Bulldogs coterie family are getting behind the Western Bulldogs' debt campaign and making their mark by securing their seats in the EJ Whitten Stand.

Westerners Coterie President, Mark Childs, Player Sponsor, Trevor Clinnick and Top Dog, Sharon Munro are just some of the latest jumping on board the campaign.

Watch the media player above as Bulldogs Coterie members Mark Childs, Trevor Clinnick and Sharon Munro share their favourite Whitten Oval memories.

And there’s a common theme behind their motivations, to help the Club take an almighty bite out of the historical debt and give the team the best chance to achieve the ultimate success.

For Mark Childs, his family’s seat in the Westerners’ Wing of the stand is significant for the sense of belonging it represents - belonging both to the Westerners Coterie alongside his many lifelong friends made at the Club, and also belonging to the Bulldogs extended family and community.

Player Sponsor, Trevor Clinnick’s love for the club goes back a long way, and although he ‘migrated’ to the east 40 years ago, his relationship with the club continued through his player sponsorship which began with Leon Cameron in 1996 (hence the seat C18).

Since then, Trevor and his wife Chris have also sponsored Steven Kretiuk, Luke Darcy, Ben Hudson, Daniel Cross and Tory Dickson.

“We have met some terrific people through the Club, and our closest friends are all Bulldogs supporters,” Trevor said.

For Top Dog Sharon Munro, coming from an entire family of Bulldogs, she, her husband and then her children had no choice but to follow the Bulldogs.

Her seat plaque is in recognition of all the great players that have worn the No. 3 for the Bulldogs, EJ Whitten, Chris Grant and now with exciting up and coming player, Mitch Wallis who she sees as the future of the Club.

Sharon says she’s always had a feeling of belonging to the Club, but with the purchase of her seat, she knows she is part of the Club, now and forever.

“My name and my family’s name is now in the stand forever, it’s a great and tangible way to belong,” she said.
