THE WESTERN Bulldogs are not expecting Richmond to make drastic changes to its side ahead of Sunday's clash, despite the Tigers' heavy round-one loss to Carlton.
Coach Rodney Eade said he believed Damien Hardwick would continue to show faith in his inexperienced group this week.
"They are a young squad and they're trying to implement a definitive game plan," Eade said on Wednesday.
"We've seen a bit of them over the pre-season and last week as well. It's more about having to worry about us and what we value, which was what was missing on the weekend."
Eade said the Dogs' 36-point loss to Collingwood on Sunday had not been a reality check for his side after its stunning NAB Cup campaign.
"I think our players work in reality anyway. We knew Collingwood were a good side and we always knew it was going to be a tough game first up," he said.
"There was no certainty we were going to win that. There are a few things we need to work on that were there for the first three or four games of the NAB Cup, but weren't there on the weekend."
Elevated rookie Brodie Moles is expected to make his debut this weekend after an impressive four-game pre-season campaign.
Teammate Matthew Boyd said Moles, who arrived at the club in last year's NAB AFL Rookie Draft after two seasons on Geelong's rookie list, would add some depth to their midfield.
"He adds a fair bit of flexibility to our group," he said.
"He's got great endurance and pace, and he's shown his skills are really good as well as his decision making.
"He just gives us another avenue for more rotations through the midfield, which will be handy for guys like (Adam) Cooney and (Ryan) Griffen and other guys like that."
Defender Dale Morris will return from illness after his late withdrawal from the Magpies clash while midfielder Nathan Eagleton will play in a VFL practice match.
Skipper Brad Johnson was on modified duties during Wednesday's session, recovering from general soreness from his first game for the year.
He left the field after being hit by the club's motorised drinks cart but is still expected to play this weekend.
