The Western Bulldogs are pleased to announce that Captain Brad Johnson has signed a one year contract, that will see him play on in Season 2010.

Today’s announcement, which comes days after Johnson finished in fourth place in the 2009 Charles Sutton Medal, means he is now set to play his 350th AFL game in Round 1 of next season.

The inspirational Captain said today that he was looking forward to another year of AFL football.

“It is very exciting, I am obviously wrapt to be playing on next year.  The fact that Brian (Lake) has recommitted to the Club and with the inclusion of Barry Hall for the 2010 season, it’s a fantastic time to be at the Western Bulldogs,” Johnson said.

Western Bulldogs General Manager of Football said Johnson’s experience will be pivotal to the sides success in 2010.

“Apart from his ability, Brad is just an exceptional character to have around the Club.  He is a fantastic mentor to our young players and a great leader on the ground,” Fantasia said.
